Our room was simply sensational! It was in the new wing, and had the most incredible attention to detail - 2 wardrobes, with separate luggage stands, a huge ensuite, with separate toilet, huge shower, and a separate bath. The shower rose was one of the largest I have seen, and simply a joy to have a shower in. Heated towel rails, a Saeco coffee machine, and a large, blissfully comfortable bed. Breakfast was fabulous, and included in the price. The whole hotel was beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly, and Tanja at reception was a joy to deal with. The hotel was perfectly positioned, and we loved the complimentary transfers to and from the station. We can't wait to go back, so if you are considering this hotel, do yourself a favour and book it - it is amazing!
Very difficult to find anything to improve on, but perhaps an extra pillow each, and instructions for the coffe machine. Fabulous in spite of this!

A fantastic retreat I revisit! The Matterhorn views from my room were amazing, especially while enjoying breakfast with exquisite scrambled eggs. The outdoor hot tub offered a serene after-hike experience. Friendly staff and solid facilities. It's a luxurious haven with character and charm that keeps me coming back!

Situated just outside the Down town of Zermatt with a clear view of the 'Matterhorn'. Well furnished rooms and great service. Helpful staff who are always serving with a smile. Good food. They also have a vast choice of cigars in the bar.

The location and view and the people that work there were all excellent. The breakfast was normal which for this type of hotel I expected a little bit more. But the bar was very nice and the food did look good from what I could tell.
One of the other hotel on our trip through had a table that was only ours. So we could show up at anytime and know our table would be ready. This type of place should not make you look around for a table. But the place was very nice and I would stay again for sure!

Consider packing snacks ahead of time, as the breakfast service may be slow and communication with staff can be a challenge during peak hours.

The Staff was fantastic, very helpful and very friendly. The hotel itself is fantastic, clean, and charming.
The Swedish style beds were uncomfortable. The king size bed we had was actually two beds pushed together. The mattress itself is gives little support and sits on wooden slats rather than a box spring. To be fair, this is the style here and it is not likely you will find something different in another hotel.

The rooms are very well equipped. Hotel staff is very competent, helpful and friendly. Afternoon tea is nice.
(1) The hotel is pretty expensive, but that seems to be inevitable in Zermatt. (2) The train going up the mountain (Gornergrat-Bahn) passes right next to the hotel. This can cause quite some nuisance, in particular early in the morning. (3) Although the breakfast buffet is very nice, there could be some more choice as far as pastry and cakes are concerned, and freshly squeezed juices should be served in a hotel of this category.

Fine outdoor pool view.
Unfortunately, the communication from the staff was lacking. We arrived and found our room not ready, disheartening after a long journey. This was especially disappointing, as we were looking forward to a smooth end to our stay.
